About CubeMaster
The Problem
Learning to speedcube means jumping between disconnected resources: video tutorials on YouTube, algorithm databases on wikis, timer apps in separate tabs, and competition info buried on WCA.net. There's no single place that takes you from “I can't solve a cube” to “I'm ready for my first competition.”
The Solution
CubeMaster combines a structured 5-stage roadmap (Beginner → 2-Look CFOP → Full CFOP → Optimized → Competition Ready) with interactive practice tools: an algorithm trainer, a WCA-style timer, and a competition preparation guide — all in one site, all free, no account required.
How It Works
- Roadmap: Follow 5 stages with clear time milestones, detailed content, and progress checklists.
- Trainer: Drill OLL and PLL algorithms with flashcard-style practice and mastery tracking.
- Timer: Practice with WCA-standard scrambles, inspection countdown, and Ao5/Ao12 statistics.
- Progress: All your data stays in your browser via localStorage — no account, no tracking, no server.
The Goal
Get you to your first WCA competition. Sub-20 seconds is competitive at most local competitions. With the CFOP method and consistent practice, most people can reach sub-30 in 2-3 months and sub-20 in 6-12 months.
Technology
Built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. Fully static — no backend, no tracking, your data never leaves your browser. Open source speedcubing knowledge, freely available to the community.
